There has been another pause in the build as I have to wait for Kit 12 which requires quite a bit of fabricating by Polly.

In the meantime, I went up to the Doncaster show in early May. It was great to see so many fine models and to catch up with the team at Polly.

I felt that my appreciation of the models was far greater this year than last as, having almost completed Molly Ann, I have a better understanding of the effort that goes into them

A very handsome Jinty – one of my favourite locos.

Another beautiful model. The lining in particular was exquisite

An O&K looking splendid.

Outdoors there were some road vehicles in steam too.

The day after the show I completed the Birmingham Velo 100 mile bike ride so that was a particularly busy weekend.

I have also had a little play with my D R Mercer in the Spring sunshine. I hadn’t steamed it in ages but it worked beautifully first time.

Finally for this blog, I have a date for the final kit from Polly, I am picking it up on 19 June. There will be some more blogs when I get that.
